What do dentists do if you have a cavity?What about an over bite?

I think i have a few small cavities and i was wondering what the dentist will do about them. I havent been to the dentist in a long time so i dont remember…=/ And i have a pretty bad overbite. What would they do about that? I know i need braces but would that help the overbite?
