What do dentists do if your tooth is growing in your gums and its not a wisdom tooth?

I'm a dentist.
If there were anything to do to the tooth (i.e. anything surgical or orthodontic in nature), it's something that would be planned well in advance.
So relax. Probably nothing will be done to your tooth today.
